Hello Swappers!
We're just a few days away from the Mill Valley Bike swap, so it's time to prepare.
WHERE:
The Mill Valley Bike Swap is at the Mill Valley Middle School located at 459 Sycamore Street, Mill Valley, CA 94941. We're at the back of the school on the basketball courts, right next to the baseball field (see attached map).
DIRECTIONS:
From North (Sonoma/Marin) - Take 101 south to the Mill Valley exit. Get off the freeway and turn right on East Blithedale. Follow about 1 mile and turn left on Camino Alto. Follow 1/4 mile and turn left on Sycamore. Follow Sycamore all the way to the end and turn left into Swap parking lot.
From East (Walnut Creek/Richmond/Hayward) - Take 580 across the Richmond/San Rafael Bridge and take the Sir Francis Drake Blvd. exit. Follow Sir Francis Drake to 101 and head south to the Mill Valley exit. Get off the freeway and turn right on East Blithedale. Follow about 1 mile and turn left on Camino Alto. Follow 1/4 mile and turn left on Sycamore. Follow Sycamore all the way to the end and turn left into Swap parking lot.
From South (San Francisco, Peninsula, San Jose) - Take 101 north across the Golden Gate Bridge and take the Mill Valley/Stinson Beach exit. Follow Shoreline Hwy to Almonte Blvd and stay to the right. Almonte becomes Miller Avenue. Turn right at Camino Alto and follow for 1/4 mile and turn right on Sycamore. Follow Sycamore all the way to the end and turn left into Swap parking lot.
SET UP:
MCBC staff and volunteers will be at the location at 6 am. When you get there head straight to the check-in booth and get your assigned space number. The swap starts at 8:00am, so you need to be done setting up by then. ALL people selling stuff with trucks and vehicles, weather they be employees cars or whatever, ALL NEED TO BE OUT OF THE PARKING LOT AT 7:45 am, NO LATER.
FEE:
If you did not pre-pay, be prepared to pay for your space at the time you check-in (no "check's in the mail", please). If you reserved a 5x10 space you can join MCBC for $25 at the check-in booth and waive the space fee. Anymore paying for a 10x10 or lager is entitled to one free membership, so be sure to join and get your free Marin Bicycle Map!
PARKING:
There is parking on Sycamore on the other side of Camino Alto, about 1/8 mile away. We need to make parking easier on ALL the residents and attendees! Please, if you are selling, park in a legal spot and far from the swap so others may come and go. We will tell you where to park, bring a bike and ride it back to the swap, thanks!
TEAR DOWN:
You can walk your stuff out early, but if you wait until 2 pm you can pull your car out on the lot.

MILL VALLEY BIKE SWAP – Saturday, June 5 8 am to 2 pm
The 2010 Mill Valley Bike Swap [http://mvbikeswap.com/] has over 70 sellers signed-up! You’ll find incredible deals on new and used bicycles, accessories and bike clothes, or you can bring your own stuff and turn that unused bike gear into cash. There will be mountain bikes, road bikes, single speed, cyclocross, comfort bikes and kids bikes – plus wheels, tires, shocks, jerseys, pants, panniers and tons more!
This event is held on Saturday, June 5 from 8 am – 2 pm on the Mill Valley Middle School blacktop (459 Sycamore, Mill Valley, CA 94941), just off the Mill Valley bike path.
